learnsy (“learnsy”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is an online educational Q&A platform owned and operated by Technokain Solutions Private Ltd. (“Technokain”). learnsy helps students, parents, teachers and institutions practise and assess learning across school grades, university subjects and professional certifications.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to learnsy.technokain.com.sg and the learnsy service.

2.Information we collect

We collect the information needed to create accounts, deliver the learning experience, keep the platform secure and communicate with you. Depending on your role, this may include:

Account & profile details

• Students: name, contact details, role, grade/level, subjects, exams or certifications of interest, and the answers, submissions and progress they create.
• Parents / guardians: name, contact details, and the link to the child/children under their care.
• Teachers: name, contact details, professional/verification information, and the questions and content they upload.
• Institutions: organisation details and the administrator contacts who manage staff and learners.

Usage & technical data

• How you use the platform — activity, assessments taken, progress and performance.
• Basic technical information such as device, browser and log data needed to operate and secure the service.

We keep these details of students, parents and teachers primarily for account security (verifying identity, preventing misuse and protecting accounts) and to communicate with you about the service.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalise the learning experience, including questions, assessments and progress tracking.
• Keep accounts and the platform secure — authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect against unauthorised access.
• Communicate with you — send service messages, learning updates, reminders, and respond to your requests. Where required, marketing or non-essential communications are sent only with the appropriate consent, and you can opt out at any time.
• Operate, maintain, analyse and improve the service.
• Meet legal, regulatory and safety obligations.

5.Children & students

learnsy is used by learners of school age, including children. Where a user is a minor, their account is created and used with the consent and involvement of a parent, guardian or the learner's institution. Parents/guardians and authorised institution administrators can access, review and help manage the information associated with the learners in their care.

We only collect the information reasonably needed to provide the learning service to a student, and we handle children's information with particular care. If you believe a child has provided us information without the appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

6.How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in limited circumstances:

• Service providers who help us run the platform (for example hosting, payment processing and communications), under agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
• Your institution (B2B): where a student or teacher belongs to a school, university or organisation using learnsy, relevant account and progress information is available to that institution's authorised administrators.
• Legal & safety: where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or learnsy.

7.Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, communicate with you, and meet our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it. You may ask us to delete your account information — see “Your rights” below.

8.How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access — including access controls and encryption in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but protecting your information is a core reason we hold it, and we work to keep it safe.

9.Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your account and associated information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of non-essential communications.

10.Cookies

This website uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to make the site work and keep it secure. We do not use it for intrusive advertising tracking. Within the learnsy application, cookies may also be used to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

11.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of learnsy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
